Description and Requirements

ePharmaSolutions, a member of the WIRB-Copernicus Group, is a leading provider of e-clinical solutions that improve the way that clinical trial sites are selected, trained, activated, and managed.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Business Analyst will work in a multi-project, cross-functional capacity and will be responsible for supporting the ongoing developmental execution of one or more WCG products. The position involves close interaction with technical product managers, market-focused product strategists, project managers, solution architects, engineering development/test teams, and key customer’s/business stakeholders.


· Bachelor’s degree in science, information technology, or business or equivalent work experience.


 · Scrum Product Owner Certification is a plus

· Pragmatic Marketing Framework Certification is a plus


· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in business analysis, software development/implementation project management and/or product management, preferably in the Life Sciences industry with 21 CFR Part 11 compliant commercial products.

 · Minimum 1 years’ experience with agile scrum methodology, including authoring user stories.

· Proficient in meeting with internal and external customers to gather/analyze business requirements.

· Proficient written and verbal communicator with both technical and non-technical individuals.

· Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong aptitudes for conceptual thinking in business context, assertiveness, and detail orientation.

· Demonstrated ability to effectively work independently, as a collaborative team member consisting of onshore and offshore resources in support of producing successful product releases.


· Lead collaboration efforts with scrum teams to create and refine process flows, user interface mockups, and user stories with acceptance criteria to meet documented business needs for a release.

 · Work with market subject matter experts to develop market need driven business requirements. Tasks, duties, and responsibilities as listed in this job description are not exhaustive.

· Support technical product managers in guiding the developmental execution of one or more WCG products.

 · Support technical product managers’ authoritative voice of a product’s capabilities to business stakeholders.

· Document business needs and supporting justifications for planning upcoming releases.

· Create and refine detailed functional and non-functional requirements in support of development and testing and trace them to business requirements.

· Identify edge-cases, error conditions, dependencies and impacts to other areas and other systems.

· Support backlog grooming sessions for setting priorities for the product backlog.

· Provide input into sprint planning sessions and daily scrum team stand up meetings.

· Represent the voice of the customer to the scrum team on a constant ongoing basis.

· Co-Lead requirements reviews to identify missing, unclear, or conflicting requirements.

· Provide input to and sometimes lead reviews of end user, administration, and training materials to ensure consistency with the software and the intended business needs.

· Author customer facing release notes that describe changes in business terms of what and why.

· Educate business stakeholder, implementation, operations, and sales staff on product features and enhancements on an as-needed basis.

· Perform live software demonstrations on-site, or via web conference software.

· Develop customer specific user stories and functional requirements.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordination and oversight of cross-functionally staffed project sub-teams.
