Description and Requirements

JOB SUMMARY: The divisional CFO will be responsible for leading the Finance activities and strategic direction for the IRB organization working closely with Division business leaders and Finance team members. This role will work with members of the Senior Leadership Team to develop, interpret, and implement financial forecasts, trends, concepts and systems for operational revenue and planning and control. This individual will be responsible to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations for forecasting, strategic planning, operational improvement plans, acquisition activity, future requirements, budgeting, and operating forecasts. This role will have increased scope for financial leadership across the company and may participate in key projects and initiatives which will impact the financial success of the organization.

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; or 9 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• An MBA, CFA (Certified Financial Accountant), CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) preferred, not required

• Minimum of eight (8) years general finance experience including FP&A,  accounting, budgeting  cash management, and operating forecasts.
• At least five (5) years in a management position with experience leading and supporting finance functional team members.
• Ability to do financial modeling and improve controls through data driven financial analysis.
• Experience in preparing monthly financial reporting and pro-forma P&Ls to manage financial objectives across the business.
• Ability to review and deliver financial recommendations for planning and control, M&A, and compliance requirements to executive management.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Ability to effectively present information to all levels of management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
• Must pass a background and financial check and will be required to acknowledge and comply with all policies and regulations regarding proprietary information risks.
• Must maintain confidentiality in all matters and handle all matters discretely.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
• Key strategic partner with business to ensure long term and shorter-term business objectives are met through financial planning, analyses, and solution orientation.
• Partners with operating divisions and corporate functions to enhance finance related decisions, introduce process discipline, and ensure appropriate controls and financial systems are in place to safeguard company assets
• Coordinate external audit process
• Assist with coordination of quarterly and annual tax filings.
• Develop and maintain financial policies and SOPs to drive consistency across organization
• Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations
• Gather, analyze, summarize and prepare recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements, operating forecasts, etc.
• Coordinates, educates and leads the budget process/system requirements
• Leads preparation of pro-forma P&Ls and managing financial objectives. 
• Leads divisional finance team initiatives, including market and industry research and analysis, operational productivity and quality, strategic partnerships, and others. 
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Overall responsibility of management including direction, coordination, performance, and evaluation of the assigned team and staff. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and managing employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
