The expected base salary range for this position is $57,600 to $89,500. This salary range may vary based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, education, and geographic location.

JOB SUMMARY: The Associate Clinical Scientist, eCOA collaborates with the Clinical Scientist, eCOA and Senior Clinical Scientist, eCOA to support the development of electronic clinical outcome assessments (eCOA’s) from a clinical perspective across various therapeutic areas. This role will be responsible for supporting activities associated with the migration of paper scales to electronic format. The Associate Clinical Scientist, eCOA will contribute to optimizing operational efficacy by collaborating with various teams to translate business requirements into software requirements and/or procedural workflows.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The accountabilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

  • Support the development of eCOA’s initiatives to meet the client’s business needs, including literature reviews, communicating with internal and external subject matter experts.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal teams to deliver eCOA documentation for eCOA builds.
  • Assist in reviewing and evaluating data collected through eCOA platforms, Independent Ratings, Independent Review, internal usability testing, surveys, and marketing research to enhance functionality and clinical guidance included in eCOA’s.
  • Maintain internal tracking of eCOA form builds and applicable documentation and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the operational groups who test, validate and evaluate new applications and functions, and determine clinical related issues in services and software.
  • Develop and update work instructions, process guidelines and standard operating procedures and ensure processes and procedures to meet SOP/GCP requirements related to eCOA development as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and communicate regularly with remote staff and other employees. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.

 EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least two years of experience in administering assessments beyond academic requirements, with a graduate degree in psychology, social work, counseling, psychiatric nursing, or a related field preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience administering standardized assessment tools, psychiatric symptom rating scales and/or Neurocognition scales (can be associated with academic practicum or internship if part of a terminal Master’s degree) required.
  • Knowledge of scale development and clinical assessment best practices required.
  • Experience in scale development in academic training preferred.
  • Experience in a clinical trial or research setting or other clinical setting preferred.
  • Ability to function independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong follow-through skills and ability to proactively identify and solve problems; demonstrated initiative is imperative.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to effectively work within a multifunctional team.
  • Fluent in English required, bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills an asset.
  • Basic understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Adobe.
