JOB SUMMARY:  Enhances attorney and legal staff effectiveness by supporting daily contract operations and other non-contract matters; assists with departmental file and document management across all subject matter areas; completes special projects as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Paralegal certificate helpful

  • Experienced in performing detail-oriented work and relevant contract administrative duties in a similar corporate environment
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a corporate in-house legal department or similar work environment  
  • Able to build and maintain positive client and stakeholder relationships 
  • Must be able to stay organized, complete all assigned tasks within given deadlines and brings all assigned matters to complete resolution.  Time management and attention to detail skills are essential to the success of this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

  • Play a significant role in the processing of all contracts and legal documents (e.g., generating new contracts upon request, obtaining signatures, responding to inquiries sent to the legal department, etc.).
  • Manage, review, analyze a high volume of contract requests, and coordinate contract activities with appropriate internal departments. 
  • Responsible for determining appropriate contracts based on a request and determining next steps in the review process.
  • Accountable for analysis on an ongoing basis of assigned contract matters.  For example, review and analyze relevant terms in the NDAs and/or MSAs to determine whether the contracts cover the intended business activity (e.g., pre-engagement discussion, assessments, audits, etc.)
  • Draft amendments and other legal documents for Senior Counsels’ review.
  • Work with Senior Counsels to review and finalize Requests for Information and Data Processing Agreements.
  • Responsible for organizing legal matters and documents (including but not limited to fully-executed contracts) by accurately inputting detailed meta-data and information into the department’s contract management software (i.e., Conga). 
  • Assist with maintaining and troubleshooting the contract management system and analyze processes to improve use of the contract management system.
  • Support contract and non-contract matters by, for example, maintaining contact with people involved in the matters; providing status reports; following up on outstanding matters and completing related tasks as assigned.
  • Handle and promptly respond to regular internal and external correspondence and inquiries pertaining to the Legal Department's role and responsibilities to the Company.
  • Assist in issuance of litigation holds and client bankruptcy notices.
  • Assist with special projects assigned by Senior Counsels related to the legal needs of the business teams supported by Legal.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
