Description and Requirements

Summary of Position:

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the software build and deployment processes. This includes the design and implementation of automating these processes.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Science, or related area, or equivalent hands-on experience


Requires at least 3 years of experience in the field. Experience in automation/configuration management tools such as GIT, VSTS, Bamboo, Octopus, Chef or an equivalent. Experience in a scripting language such as Windows PowerShell and in Windows/Linux Administration are required. Experience with deploying and managing environments for SaaS solutions. Fundamental knowledge of Software development methodology; Angular Apps, Microsoft Visual Studio; ASP.NET; Transact-SQL; SQL Server 2012+; Web Services; Object-oriented Design and Database Design is required. Experience with cloud services, such as Azure/AWS is a plus. Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. Knowledge of best practices and experience with IT operations in an always-on, always-available service is required. Previous experience working in a validated environment is also a plus.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement an automated process of software build and deployment.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering and ITS teams to define and own the environments across all applications.
  • Perform the deployment of applications to any controlled environments.
  • Instrument and monitor production application operation status such as system metrics (CPU/RAM/DISK/NETWORK), application performance, application usage, and error logs.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to installations and upgrades.
  • Ability to write scripts/code if needed for deployment.
  • Ability to implement automated testing tools.
  • Ability to adhere to standard SOPs and WIs.


  • Experience with scripting languages (for example PowerShell).
  • Experience writing MS SQL Scripts.
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment (SCRUM).
  • Excellent communication skills to convey build and deployment issues.
  • Excellent documentation skills to document updates to the build and deployment process, changes to internal servers, etc.
  • Demonstrable experience working independently with the ability to organize own work
