JOB SUMMARY: The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis will lead and manage the Division’s FP&A team. This position will work closely with members of the WCG Finance and Business Units teams to produce financial analysis and reports and complete strategic finance projects. This position serves multiple functions: driving and supporting the overall strategic and tactical processes and administration of the Divisional budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycle; coordinating with Corporate FP&A team to consolidate and report on financial data; and directly supporting SG&A leadership teams to provide thorough insight and analysis into past and future trends. This position will both manage people and will be hands-on to own the processes and strategies to provide detailed reporting and analysis. This position is highly visible among WCG’s senior leadership team.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint. PowerBI a plus.
  • Proven experience in leveraging financial reporting systems. Experience in Workday Adaptive Insights highly recommended.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in detailed budgeting and forecasting, financial modeling, financial reporting, and KPI & dashboard reporting. Must be able to rapidly assimilate financial data from disparate systems and databases to produce timely, accurate, and executive-level reporting and analysis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
  • Lead the strategic and tactical aspects of the annual operating plan, budget process, and recurring forecast updates for the company; including, administration of forecasting system, coordination with and consolidation of Divisional FP&A data and analysis, development of reporting templates, and effective communication of results.
  • Partner with Corporate FP&A team to consolidate, review, and analyze budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
  • Partner with SG&A department leads to provide forecast updates, provide thorough analysis and insights, and support and recommendations into headcount, compensation, and expense planning.
  • Act as lead finance resource supporting the operation and maintenance of the Division’s financial reporting systems, Workday Adaptive Insights. Partner with internal and external IT staff for continued product development and process improvements.
  • Produce critical weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial dashboards, KPIs, and commentary for senior management using Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools. Coordinate with Divisional teams to complete monthly reporting packets and business reviews.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly financial statement reports, including: financial statements, MD&A, lender compliance reports, internal reporting packages, and BOD material.
  • Mentor and develop FP&A staff. Provide support to divisional business leaders and finance staff, including financial planning, model development, sales and revenue analysis, and expense analysis in order to provide guidance on opportunities and risks.
  • Organize and analyze large amounts of financial data from numerous data sources to deliver executive-level reporting and presentations.
  • May indirectly support or lead others through project assignments.
