Description and Requirements

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The intern will participate and learn about multiple areas in WCG MA-PP's Scales Management Team. The focus of this internship will be within the Project Management function. The primary areas of learning will be about day to day activities of Scales Management, such as partnering with translation vendors, quality control of client deliverables and various other administrative tasks.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Enrollment in a post-secondary degree program in a related field preferred.


QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

WCG MA-PP Interns should be strong communicators, both written and verbal, with great leadership skills and the ability to multitask. Typically, employers require a bachelor’s degree in a business or industry-related subject, previous project management or similar experience, and the following abilities:

  • Must be above the age of 18 or provide a state or school issued Employment or Age Certification.
  • As a learning position, the only required skills are basic knowledge of personal computer operating systems, software and hardware, including Microsoft Office or similar productivity packages.
  • Must possess ability to communicate effectively and be extremely detail-oriented
  • Must have the ability to appropriately handle confidential information as it relates to clinical trial/study activities.
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

  • The intern will work on the day to day scale management administrative activities, mainly focusing on the quality control (QC) process of translations
  • The intern will spend the following percentage of time in each area:
  • 70% of the time in Scales Management day-to-day activities.
  • 20% on special projects
  • 10% learning about the importance and role in Project Management
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.
