Description and Requirements

SUMMARY:

Pricing and Proposals Specialist supports the coordination and development of WCG Scientific and Regulatory Division’s pricing, change order, proposal and contracting efforts in support of business development and operational budget management. Reports directly to Sr. Manager, Pricing and Proposals, with position responsibilities including but not limited to:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

·       BS/BA required or equivalent experience

REQUIREMENT:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales / pricing role creating budgets and proposals
  • CRO/pharma/biotech services experience preferred
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with proven ability to organize, triage and multitask between different deliverables
  • Salesforce.com experience a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pricing and Proposal Development
  • Prepare proposals, work orders, change orders, project budgets and payment schedules in an efficient and timely manner
  • Revies and evaluate incoming specification sheets and RFPs in order to price and prepare bids accurately and triage any questions and/or concerns to the appropriate key stakeholders/SMEs
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of divisional proposal templates and pricing models with ability to provide guidance to other staff regarding pricing/proposal practices
  • Customize pricing, proposal and contract templates as needed in order to create non-standard pricing/language and/or map/present the budget and text in client-provided RFP/Contract templates
  • to understand project scope and requirements and to develop and obtain approval of proposals, pricing and contracts
  • Participate in client calls with BD and/or PM colleagues as needed
  • Data entry to track and monitor pricing deliverables for potential sales, CO opportunities, and activity in Salesforce.com for pipeline forecasting
  • Process of incoming contracts in a timely manner in order to ensure documents are saved and filed appropriately for future use and reference by multiple departments
  • Manage multiple deliverables simultaneously with sensitivity to tight deadlines and an organized process for prioritizing and communicating the most pressing needs

  • Support across division to help align pricing models/strategies and proposal/contract wording and templates to help meet growth targets, marketing and account management plans, pricing analyses, and corporate status reporting as needed
