The expected base salary range for this position is $69,840 to $108,500. This salary range may vary based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, education, and geographic location.
SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Project Manager is the primary point of contact for the customer and is responsible for the coordination of the delivery of customer projects, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to the agreed upon scope of work.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSE/REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:
- PMP Certification preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Three years’ Project Management experience in a clinical research environment (e.g. CRO, biopharmaceutical company, or centralized service provider used in clinical studies) or the equivalent combination of education, skills and experience to perform the job.
- Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience recommended.
- Proven project management experience including the development of project plans and the execution of those plans on time and within budget.
- First-hand experience with all stages of the project life cycle, from start up to close out.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage, motivate, and integrate a team.
- Excellent problem solving/decision making skills.
- Outstanding written, oral communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including well-honed customer service and negotiation skills.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Adobe, Visio and MS Project.
- The ability to create meaningful reports to demonstrate project status.
- Experience in strategic analysis, developing project plans, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, resource allocation, and scope management.
- Possess the ability to provide practical solutions to problems and situations ordinarily encountered in the role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
- Provide leadership in the delivery of services to customers.
- Manage all stages of the project life cycle, from start up to close out.
- Lead kickoff, in-process, status, final deliverable and other project related meetings with cross functional teams and project stakeholders at all levels.
- Present project services at customer meetings, such as Study Monitor Meetings, Investigator Meetings, and project initiation (kick-off) meetings.
- Ensure all work conducted is in adherence with GCP and MedAvante-ProPhase SOPs and lead remedial action if required.
- Routinely tracks budget items and facilitates reconciliation for all services against scopes of work.
- Proactively identifies when projects are trending out of scope and takes appropriate steps with the customer to ensure all costs are proactively covered by contract.
- Provides forecasting of project revenue.
- Support sales and business development objectives by providing input to proposals and attending bid defense meetings.
- Representing the company at industry and scientific conferences.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
- Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The position may require the individual to be responsible for the management, direction, coordination, performance, and evaluation of an assigned team and staff. Responsibilities may include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to travel 5-10% of the time (domestic and international) and may require evening and weekend travel.
