Expected annual base salary range: $77,600 to $122,500

JOB SUMMARY:  A Senior Biostatistician represents the face of Data Monitoring Committees (DMC) to the clients for which he or she works. The Senior Biostatistician independently performs tasks related both to statistical analyses and statistical programming with guidance from their manager.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • ·       M.S. or equivalent degree in statistics, or related field, PhD preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • At least three years of post-Master's experience in clinical trials.
  • Strong analytical skills, SAS experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to express analytic concepts verbally and in writing to statisticians and non-statisticians.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.  Responsibilities may include:

  • Presenting interim trial data to Data Monitoring Committees (DMCs).
  • Writing statistical reports and memos with minimal guidance.
  • Programming complex datasets.
  • Leading sophisticated analyses, including efficacy and futility interim analyses for DMCs.
  • Functioning as the primary liaison between the client and WCG for data and statistical issues on projects.
  • Reviewing statements of work, proposals, and budgets.
  • Mentoring of lower-level employees.
  • Managing multiple projects and a majority of own workload.
  • Remaining abreast of current advances in biostatistics and software developments that may be required for WCG to meet its contractual obligations both effectively and efficiently.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
