Description and Requirements

JOB SUMMARY: The primary objective of the Senior Data Analyst I is cleaning, transforming, and analyzing data, with the objective of creating key business insights. The Senior Data Analyst I executes work in the management of internal data and databases, data cleaning, data uploads and data and systems validation as required. This position will develop analysis and reporting capabilities. They will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements in current processes.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

·        Bachelor’s or master’s degree in applied statistics, science, economics, mathematics, or related field preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-4 years of experience working with data analysis; experience in the life sciences industry is ideal, either in a prior consulting role or within a biopharma company.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills including the ability to run pivot tables, array formulas and VBA.
  • Demonstrated experience with data management, interpretation, and presentation.
  • Passion for data analysis and problem solving.
  • Must have good communication skills, writing skills, and be able to pay close attention to detail.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment where direction
  • may change and communicate clearly.

  • Manage raw data, query, and create databases
  • Construct data frameworks for analyzing data; analyze data using standard methods including
  • statistical methods, interpret results, and present clear summaries.
  • Visualize data using Excel and Visio
  • Create and update project logs in a timely fashion.
  • Validate custom applications; work closely with developers
  • Interpret and write reports
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position
  • described here.
  • Consistent and predictable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.
