TITLE: Senior Data Scientist

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or a related field

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • 4 years of experience in utilizing data analytics, market research, and data mining to support customer deliverables.
  • Must also have 1 year of experience in (1) analyzing large data sets, applying a variety of statistical techniques including regression, discriminant analysis and cluster analysis; (2) utilizing data visualization tools including Power BI, Tableau, Matplotlib, or D3.js; (3) utilizing machine learning techniques and algorithms including Decision Forests; 4) using scripting language including R or Python; and (5) using SQL query language.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

  • Responsible for helping WCG identify the information hidden in vast amounts of data (open source, licensed and proprietary) and make smarter decisions to deliver excellent services and technology products.
  • More specifically, apply data mining techniques, perform statistical analysis, and build high quality prediction systems integrated with existing and future services/products.
  • Select features and build and optimize classifiers using machine learning techniques.
  • Enhance data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems.
  • Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner.
  • Support team members in developing, analyzing, interpreting and presenting of operational data in support of strategy and planning.
  • Conduct data mining of open sourced, licensed and proprietary data sources and initiates/oversees collection of data for use in development of robust strategies for clinical trials.
  • Provide day-to-day support of the business as required in order to efficiently and effectively 030model and forecast from feasibility data and other relevant information to allow for the development of evidence-based strategies for inclusion into client deliverables; and prepare clinical trial operational predictions/forecasts with appropriate guidance from internal clinical operational experts. Position is eligible for 100% remote work.

EXPECTED ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $116,730 - $150,000
