TITLE: Senior Software Test Engineer – WCG Clinical, Inc.

DUTIES: Responsible for the following duties: develop, maintain, and upgrade test scripts, automated test framework and artifacts, issue records, and validation documentation for in-house developed software applications. Create and execute complex, multi-platform test cases. Provide software testing such as coverage, boundary conditions, and regression testing. Design and develop testing tools and programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, negative testing, error or bug retests, and coordinate third party testing. Document, track, and provide steps to replicate software defects, using a defect tracking system. Prepare and execute hands-on testing efforts and report results and progress of testing. Work with other members to investigate customer problems referred by technical support. Investigate defects and enhancements and provide feedback to developers and system users. Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability, functionality and assist product engineers in the identification and resolution of product defects. Participate in development processes to support software quality efforts. Performing software testing and validation in an Agile or Waterfall development methodology environment. Authoring tests, execute tests, report issues and provide evidence and reproducible steps using defect management tools Jira and Helix ALM. Testing software in the Life Sciences industry including 21 CFR Part 11 testing. Perform SQL queries and process documents in the document management application. Position is eligible for 100% remote work.

SALARY RANGE: $138,827 to $150,000

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, or a related field and 5 years of: software testing and validation experience in an Agile or Waterfall development methodology environment; and experience authoring tests, executing tests, reporting issues and providing evidence and reproducible steps using defect management tools Jira and Helix ALM. Must have 4 years of experience: testing software in the Life Sciences industry including 21 CFR Part 11 testing; performing SQL queries; and processing documents in the document management application. Position is eligible for 100% remote work.
